When you meet up with your friend who is in love or a newly wed, it seems to happen every time. They look refreshed, happy and relaxed. You tell them, “I can’t put my finger on it, you look beautiful as always but you’re just glowing!”
As a newlywed myself, I have actually regressed to processed carbs and childlike eating and have had no motivation to workout. I am probably more out of shape and unhealthy now than I have been in years. Yet, people keep saying, “You’re glowing, you’re radiant!” I mean shoot, I’ll take it even though I’m a little surprised.
Everyone wants to be in love, meet their match and feel what it feels like to “glow” without having to sweat.
But why are you waiting for romance with a man to bring that out in you when you can have it now? Jesus is the ultimate lover and even is jealous for your time and heart. He says, “Arise, my darling, my beautiful one and come with me.” Song of Songs 2:10. Fall in love with the most spirit filling, heart mending, enchanting and loyal relationship that will ever fully complete you. I promise you will start radiating like a newlywed, and nothing can make it fade except placing idols before him. “If you find my lover…tell him I am faint with love.” Song of Songs 5:8.
If you haven’t met your mate yet or you want to get that glow back in your relationship, set your eyes on Jesus. After all, no relationship can be whole and satisfying without first having whole, joyous love with The Lord. He wants your heart, he wants to tell you you’re flawless, to breathe beauty into your soul and to give you rest. His face will shine upon you so bright, everyone will notice. “The maidens saw her and called her blessed; the queens and concubines praised her.” Song of Songs 6:9.
Rise and Glow.
